Resolving Autotask Sync Failures

Resolving Autotask Sync Failures

If automatic sync fails, users should perform a manual sync before performing additional operations on the Subscription.
When an operation fails to be automatically synced to Autotask, it will not prevent follow-up operations from happening.

Why Manual Syncing is Necessary:
  1. Previous failed operations may prevent proper synchronization.
  2. Avoids potential conflicts and data overwrites.

Check Subscriptions Sync Status and Manually Sync

1. Navigate to Administration > Connectors in CloudCockpit.

2. Choose the Autotask Connection and click on  to open the actions dropdown. Choose the Subscription Mapping action.

3. On each mapped subscription, you can see if all supported operations made in CloudCockpit were synced successfully to Autotask.

Subscription is in Sync

If all the operations went through as expected, they will show a green badge with the Synced status.

Subscription is Out of Sync

If any operations were not synced to Autotask, they will show a red warning badge with the Out of Sync status. This may occur due to issues such as network problems.
Whenever a supported operation fails to sync to the Autotask connection, it's possible to retry by manually syncing.

4. Press   on the subscription and choose Sync to confirm the operation.
  1. The sync will happen in the background and can be tracked in the audit logs page, where you will see 1 audit log for each performed operation.
  2. Operations are synchronized in chronological order, meaning older operations are synced first.
  3. If one operation fails to sync, the subsequent operations will not sync.

Confirming Successful Manual Sync

To confirm that a Subscription was successfully manually synced:

1. Navigate to Administration > Audit Logs in CloudCockpit
2. Look for Update Subscription on Connection operation.
3. Review the details of these operations to confirm that they were synced to Autotask.
