Review and act on alerts - CloudCockpit

Review and act on alerts

To help you stay aware of potential risks and act proactively, alerts are generated when policy thresholds are exceeded.
These alerts are informational and require your review and action when necessary.

When an alert is triggered:
  1. It will appear in the Risk Center’s Overview page.
  2. Notification recipients will receive an email with full alert details.
Alert
Alerts do not automatically enforce or fix issues.
You are responsible for reviewing the alert and determining any required follow-up action (for example adjusting budgets or handling a subscription change).

See Create and manage alert policies on how to create Risk Center alert policies to monitor Azure consumption and subscription operations.

Review alerts

To view all alerts:
1. Go to Administration > Risk Center > Overview.

2. In this page, you’ll find:
  1. A centralized view of all alerts with expandable cards for full context.
  2. Key metrics to track consumption issues and alert trends.
  3. Detailed information on triggered conditions, thresholds, and resolution options.

3. To finalize your review, click Resolve and mark the alert as:
  1. Legitimate
  2. Fraud
  3. False alarm

Email alert notification

Email notifications help you quickly investigate and respond to issues by including full context: customer, thresholds, triggered conditions, and direct links to affected subscriptions.
Examples:
  1. Azure budget exceeded.
  2. Subscription renewal change detected.
  3. New subscription created with high cost.

1. Review the information: thresholds exceeded, affected customer and conditions triggered.

2. Click Review subscription in the email to open the affected subscription in CloudCockpit.

3. Take the appropriate action:
  1. Adjust budgets or thresholds.
  2. Validate and confirm subscription changes.
  3. Investigate potential misuse or fraud.
  4. Reach out to the customer if necessary.

4. Once reviewed, click Resolve and mark the alert as:
  1. Legitimate
  2. Fraud
  3. False alarm
