While other offers are provided by Microsoft, Marketplace Subscriptions are provided by an Independent Software Vendor (ISV), which are approved third-party companies, that sell their apps through the Microsoft AI Cloud Partner Program.
Pricing and Invoicing
To create a profit margin, Cloud Solution Providers (CSPs) can add service or management fees to these services and can also negotiate discounts with the ISVs.
Safeguarding Margins
Marketplace Subscriptions have a List Price (cost) equal to the ERP Price (recommended sales price), because Microsoft does not define the selling margins for these offers. This creates a risk of selling at or below acquisition cost if your price margins are not adequately configured.
To avoid selling Marketplace Subscriptions at or below acquisition cost review:
Discounts
Since Marketplace Subscriptions do not have rebates or partner earned credits, CSPs can negotiate specific agreements with ISVs, to obtain discounts of up to 30% at the time of purchase. This allows CSPs to acquire products at lower costs and resell them at standard market prices.
CloudCockpit syncs daily with the Microsoft Partner Center to update both new and existing agreements.
The synchronization includes updates to the reconciliation process and the portal’s pricing list, reflecting the discounted prices.
To benefit from these discounts, CSPs must configure the discounts in Partner Center.
